What it is

A three-part event built around collecting Corsair Keys, opening chests for a shot at Pearls of Enigma, and spending those pearls in a special shop before it closes.

The three components

  1. Harbor Drill (+ Daily Drill) — complete daily tasks to earn Corsair Keys and Treasure Hunt Points. Treasure Hunt Points fill a milestone track that pays out more keys, speedups, hero EXP, and gems.
  2. Buccaneer Bounty (the chests) — spend Corsair Keys here to open chests for random rewards, including Pearls of Enigma. There are also milestone rewards for total chests opened over the event.
  3. Emporium of Enigma (the shop) — spend Pearls of Enigma on Widgets (current-generation hero exclusive gear only), a daily-refreshing 5× Forgehammer bundle, and — once your kingdom is old enough — Truegold or Pet Materials chests. This section runs one day longer than the other two so you have time to spend down your pearls.

❗Keys are permanent, pearls are not

Corsair Keys carry over between cycles — hoarding them across multiple Buccaneer Bounty events to save up for a specific milestone or shop item (like a skin) is a completely valid strategy. Pearls of Enigma expire at the end of the event and convert to basic resources — spend every pearl you have before the Emporium closes.

Daily tasks (examples — check in-game each cycle, exact tasks vary)

  • Daily login
  • Use 1,000m of Speedups
  • Defeat 10 Beasts
  • Use Epic Recruitment 2 times

F2P Notes

  • Prioritize completing daily tasks for free Corsair Keys over buying key packs with real money.
  • If you're not chasing a specific shop item this cycle, it's completely fine to bank your keys for a future cycle rather than opening chests right away — they don't expire.

Prep checklist

  • Check the Harbor Drill daily tasks as soon as the event opens
  • Decide up front whether you're spending keys this cycle or banking them for a future one
  • Don't let Pearls of Enigma sit unspent — the Emporium closes a day after the rest of the event
