Unlock
- Unlocks at Town Center Level 25 — this is when you can start crafting Governor Charms.
Why Charms matter so much
Health and Lethality are widely considered the two most impactful stats for overall combat performance — more so than the Attack/Defense that Governor Gear provides. Once you hit TC25, prioritize getting your charm crafting started.
Best Material Source: Eternity's Reach
Eternity's Reach is one of the best sources of Charm Design and Charm Guide materials in the game: - Copper Ore collected during the event converts into Charm materials - Since it's a solo, no-permanent-loss event with free auto-filled troops, it's genuinely one of the best "strategy over spending" material farms available — a well-played F2P governor can outscore a poorly-played whale here.
Upgrade Path Notes
- Charm crafting/upgrading has a defined level range (commonly cited as roughly Level 1–22) with material costs scaling per level — check your in-game Charm screen for exact current costs, since these get patched.
- Charm stat priority should follow your role: rally-leader-focused Governors may prioritize Lethality first; garrison/defense-focused Governors may prioritize Health first. There's no universal "always pick X" answer — align it with how you actually play.
Common Mistakes
- Ignoring Charms because you're focused on Hero Gear / Governor Gear — Charms cover stats those two systems don't touch at all
- Not prioritizing Eternity's Reach participation, missing out on the best charm-material farm in the game
- Picking a charm stat priority that doesn't match your actual playstyle (e.g., maxing Health priority when you're primarily a rally-leading attacker)
Teaching point for new members
Charms are unlocked at Town Center 25 and boost Health + Lethality — the two stats that matter most in combat. The best way to farm charm materials is playing Eternity's Reach well — it's solo, free, and skill-based, so don't skip it just because you're F2P.
