Quick-reference terms. Link back here with [Kingshot Glossary](/reference/kingshot-glossary/) whenever you introduce jargon to a new player.

Roles & Ranks

  • Governor — the player themself (you). Kingshot's version of "ruler."
  • R1–R5 — alliance rank tiers. R5 = leader, R4 = officer, R1 = new/basic member.
  • Rally Leader — the player whose hero(es) and gear determine the stats for an entire rally squad.
  • Joiner — a player who joins someone else's rally rather than leading it.

Combat & Marches

  • March — a squad of troops led out of your city (rallying, garrisoning, gathering, attacking).
  • Main March / Main 3 — your top 3 heroes, the ones you actually gear up and use to lead rallies.
  • Garrison — troops stationed to defend a location (like your city, or an alliance fortress/castle).
  • Rally — a large joint attack where one player leads and others join in to combine troops.
  • Troop tiers (T1, T2 … T10, T11, Truegold/TG) — troop quality levels; higher tiers hit harder and tank more.
  • Truegold (TG) / Tempered Truegold (TG8) — high-end troop tiers unlocked later in a kingdom's life (Truegold ~day 220+, TG8 ~day 310+ per kingdom age).

Gear & Power Systems

  • Hero Gear — gear equipped on individual heroes; only benefits troops when that hero is the rally leader.
  • Governor Gear — gear equipped on you (the Governor) directly; boosts Attack/Defense for your own marches (solo attacks, garrison, rallies you lead) — does not apply when you join someone else's rally.
  • Governor Charms — a separate system (unlocked ~Town Center 25) boosting Lethality and Health, the two stats Governor Gear doesn't cover.
  • Widget — the game's own term for a hero's exclusive gear piece (this wiki's hero pages label these "Exclusive Gear" for clarity, same thing). Widgets are generation-locked — the Emporium of Enigma shop (see Buccaneer Bounty) only ever sells the current generation's Widgets.
  • Mastery Forging — the process of unlocking a Hero Gear piece's "Mastery" tier for extra specialized stat growth.
  • Mithril — the gating resource for pushing Red Gear past level 100, required at every 20-level checkpoint (120/140/160/180/200).
  • Red Gear — the highest gear rarity tier, converted from Mythic gear once requirements are met (Level 100, Mastery 10, 2 spare Mythic pieces, Town Center 30).
  • Forgehammers — a crafting material used in Hero Gear enhancement.
  • Satin Threads / Gilded Threads / Artisan's Vision — Governor Gear crafting materials (separate track from Hero Gear materials).

Events Shorthand

  • KvK — Kingdom vs Kingdom, the largest recurring war event between whole kingdoms/servers.
  • HoG — Hall of Governors.
  • Bear Hunt / Bear Trap — weekly alliance rally-boss event.
  • Relic Points — the scoring currency in Swordland Showdown (Alliance Relic Points = alliance-wide bracket score; Personal Relic Points = your individual reward tier).
  • Corsair Keys / Pearls of Enigma — the two currencies in Buccaneer Bounty. Keys are permanent and carry over between cycles; Pearls expire at the end of each cycle.
  • Cesares Accord — a help-request token used in Cesares Fury; you get 5 per event to have alliance members finish a Rebel for you.

Misc

  • TC (Town Center) — your main city hall building; its level gates most systems (gear crafting, charms, etc.).
  • Kingdom Age — days since your server/kingdom launched; several systems (Truegold, TG8, Mithril push) are gated by this.
  • Speedups — items that instantly finish timers (building, research, healing, training); best saved for matching events for bonus event points.
