What it is
The single biggest recurring event: your entire kingdom (server) fights another kingdom for territory, castle control, and huge rewards. Also referred to as Kingdom of Power for a server's first occurrence — after that first KvK, the rest of the event calendar becomes more predictable (see Event Calendar and 4-Week Cycle).
Structure: Kingdom of Power (5 Days)
The flagship KvK event ("Kingdom of Power") runs across 5 days, each with its own scoring theme — so what earns you points changes daily:
- Day 1: City Construction — building upgrades and construction speedups score highest this day
- Days 2+: typically shift through combat prep, troop training, and hero growth themes before the final Castle Battle day (exact day-by-day themes rotate — check the in-game Event Guide tab each cycle to confirm the current day's focus before spending)
Don't spend blind
Always check which day's theme is live before using speedups or resources — a training push that's worth huge points on the right day can be nearly worthless on the wrong one.
Field Triage — Recovery During the Fight
Unlike Swordland Showdown, KvK losses are real. But you're not helpless: - Base troop recovery starts around 30% and can climb as high as 90% using Medical Satchels and Rescue Orders - Coordinate with your alliance on when to use these — pooling recovery items during a heavy fight phase stretches your troop pool much further than using them reactively one at a time
Prep Phase (the week before matters more than the fight itself)
- Save, don't spend: the 2 days before KvK are the least efficient time to spend gems on anything except direct gear/troop upgrades
- Daily prep target: many top alliances track a rough "200k daily point" target during the prep phase — check with your R5/officers for your alliance's specific target
- Contribute even without Mithril: you don't need to be gear-maxed to contribute meaningfully during prep — construction, research, and troop training all count
During the Fight
- Castle Battle — central objective; controlling the castle and its turrets is usually the deciding factor
- Turret control matters — turrets can turn a losing fight around, don't ignore them for "just" attacking troops
- Field Triage / recovery — expect real (not infirmary-protected) troop losses in KvK; plan healing capacity and don't overextend without a recovery plan
Prep checklist
- Stop non-essential gem spending 2 days out
- Finish gear upgrades and troop training queued before the window
- Confirm your alliance's assigned role/lane for the fight
- Know your healing/infirmary capacity — KvK losses are NOT automatically healed like Swordland Showdown
Common mistakes
- Spending speedups/gems on unrelated systems right before KvK starts
- Ignoring turret control in favor of just chasing kills
- Not planning for real troop losses — this is not a "safe" PvP event like Swordland Showdown
Teaching point for new members
KvK is the biggest event in the game — whole kingdom vs whole kingdom. The week before matters as much as the fight: save your gems and speedups, don't spend on anything except gear/troops. During the fight, follow officer callouts for castle/turret control — don't just run around chasing kills, and remember losses here are real, not free-healed like Swordland Showdown.
