What it is

Three alliances — often from different kingdoms — are matched together for a single, structured one-hour battle over map control. Whoever holds the most points at the end wins.

Eligibility

  • Alliance must rank in the top 20 on the kingdom's power leaderboard
  • A second legion requires the alliance to be Level 6+ with 40+ active members
  • Each deployed legion needs at least 15 members to be matchmade
  • Individual participants need Town Center 16+ and no 5+ consecutive inactive days before the event

Week-long schedule leading to the battle

  • Monday–Tuesday: Voting
  • Wednesday–Thursday: Sign-up
  • Friday: Matchmaking
  • Saturday: The battle itself, in your chosen time slot

Battle phases (60 minutes total)

  1. Preparation (3 min) — no captures yet
  2. Seize & Conquer (17 min) — capture your own buildings and push into enemy territory for smaller buildings (Garrisons stay shielded)
  3. Garrison Occupation (20 min) — Garrisons open up; they're worth roughly 3× a Cluster of Ruins in points per minute, so they're the priority target once this phase opens
  4. Temple Onslaught (20 min) — the Temple becomes capturable; whoever holds it at the final horn gets a massive point bonus on top of everything else

Squad Setup

Bring 3 pairs of heroes (9 total, split into 3 formations): - Rank your heroes highest-to-lowest power, then split into 3 squads of 3 (top 3, next 3, next 3) - Skip heroes with no battle skills (e.g. Diana) and skip Blue-rarity heroes — they don't pull their weight here even if they'd otherwise make your top 9

Suggested Alliance Roles

Role Job
Attack Push into enemy territory, contest Garrisons and the Temple directly
Defender Hold your own captured buildings against counter-attacks
Floater Reinforce whichever side (attack or defense) needs it as the match develops

Prep checklist

  • Confirm your alliance is eligible (top 20 power, legion size requirements) before sign-up closes Thursday
  • Rank heroes and lock in your 3 formations ahead of Saturday — don't improvise during the battle
  • Assign Attack/Defender/Floater roles and have voice coordination ready before Preparation ends
  • Plan to shift focus to Garrisons the moment Garrison Occupation opens, then to the Temple for Onslaught

Common mistakes

  • Chasing kills instead of point control — this event is won on buildings held, not enemies defeated
  • Bringing Diana or Blue-rarity heroes into a formation just because their power score is high
  • Waiting until Saturday to decide roles and formations instead of settling them during the week-long lead-in
