An event centered around Governor-level progress that rewards spending your Gilded Threads and Satin Threads for Governor Gear during its active window.

Key rule: Gilded Thread timing

❗Important

Never spend Gilded Threads outside of a Hall of Governors event unless you're one or two materials away from a critical tier breakpoint. Spending during HoG earns event points on top of the normal gear progress — spending outside HoG wastes that bonus value.

  • Satin Threads are lower-value/more replaceable (steady free daily supply from the Alliance Store), so timing them around HoG matters less.
  • If you're considering buying thread packs with real money, Gilded Thread packs are worth considering specifically when timed with an HoG window — Satin Thread packs usually aren't worth paying for since they're easy to get for free.

Prep checklist

  • Stockpile Gilded Threads between HoG windows rather than spending them piecemeal
  • Check your Governor Gear tier breakpoints before HoG starts so you know exactly what to push
  • Only break the "wait for HoG" rule if you're 1-2 materials from a breakpoint
