How team power works
Unlike rally leading (where only your top 3 "main march" heroes matter), Arena/Conquest adds together the power of all 5 heroes on your team. This is the one context where gearing more than 3 heroes has a real payoff — see Hero Overview and Roles for the contrast with rally-focused gearing.
Team Building
- Front row vs back row placement matters — tankier heroes (Infantry-leaning) up front, damage dealers in back
- Conquest skill priority differs from Expedition skill priority — a hero's Expedition buff (like Chenko's flat Lethality) may matter less here than raw Conquest-specific skill scaling, so check each hero's Conquest skill line separately before assuming your Bear Hunt joiners are also your best Arena picks
- Generation-based power scaling — newer generation heroes generally carry higher base stats, so a full Gen 3 team can outscale an undergeared Gen 5 team depending on star/gear investment
Scoring & Rewards
- Arena Points accumulate from ladder wins and determine weekly rewards
- Weekly rewards reset on a set cycle — check your rank before the reset to make sure you've claimed everything
- Target selection — picking weaker opponents on the ladder to farm points is often smarter than always challenging the top spot
Best Hero Picks (varies by server generation — see Hero Index)
- Rosa is commonly called the "Arena empress" — build her without hesitation if you play Arena regularly
- Marlin and Vivian both scale well into Arena due to their team-wide damage skills
Common Mistakes
- Assuming your rally-leader main 3 are automatically your best Arena 5 — Conquest skills scale differently
- Ignoring front/back row placement
- Not farming weaker ladder targets for consistent points
